Custom-Fit Cleats for Kids Are Here (No Minimum Size)

SHOP CUSTOM FIT CLEATS

Parents have been asking us this for two years: "Can you make these for my kid?"

The answer was always technically yes. Every pair we make is built from a scan of the actual feet wearing it, and a scanner doesn't care how old the feet are. But our pricing and sizing never said it out loud, so most parents assumed custom meant adults only.

As of today it's official: we make custom cleats for kids, there's a Kids price, and there is no minimum size.

The new deal

Our size tiers come from the foot length in your scan. Bigger feet take more material and print time, so they cost more. Smaller feet take less, so as of today they cost less. Here's the full ladder:

  • Kids (under 22 cm): $100 off the base price, so a base pair is $495
  • Small (22 to 24 cm): base price
  • Medium (24 to 29 cm): +$100
  • Large (over 29 cm): +$200

You don't pick a tier and you can't get it wrong. The foot scan measures your kid's feet and sorts it out automatically, and you see the price before checkout. If you were wondering, 22 cm is roughly a US youth size 3, so the Kids tier covers most players up to about age 11.

Kids Custom-Fit Wide Toe Box Cleats at Prevolve

Why kids might need this more than you do

Kids' feet are still forming. They're also, and I say this with love, shaped nothing like most kids' cleats, which are mostly adult cleats photocopied at 70%. Narrow, tapered, pointy. A kid with wide feet gets the same bad options an adult gets, except their feet are still deciding what shape to be.

Wide kids' feet that fit nothing off the shelf are one of the most common reasons parents find us in the first place. Custom fit means never sizing up two sizes just to buy width, and never breaking in a shape that was wrong from the start. We wrote about the adult version of this problem in our wide-feet guide; the kid version is the same story with a shorter deadline, because the feet in question grow.

One of our favorite reviews we've ever received is from a parent, about his 11-year-old:

"My son was born with a foot condition and struggled for years to find the right cleats. Could never get through a full practice or game without being in pain. This week he was in a soccer camp for 8 hours a day and never had one issue. No pain, nothing."
Roger D., verified buyer

That's the whole pitch, honestly.

The honest part

Here's what we're not going to pretend: in seventeen years of building footwear and over a thousand scanned feet, we have made exactly one pair below 22 cm. Our designs, materials, and stud layouts have been tuned on bigger feet, because bigger feet are who ordered.

We decided not to set a minimum size anyway. If your kid's feet are smaller than anything we've built, the order page will tell you that plainly, we'll build the pair with extra care, and we may check in with you during production. What we will not do is quietly sell you something we act more certain about than we are. That's also exactly why we're doing the next part.

We're looking for 10 test families

To make kids' builds as dialed as our adult builds, we need kids wearing them and parents telling us the truth. So the first 10 families get a tester deal: half off a Kids pair (a base build lands at $245) in exchange for three things:

  1. Fit feedback when the cleats arrive and again after 4 weeks
  2. A free re-scan at 3 months, so we can see how the fit held up against a growing foot
  3. Honesty. If something's off, we want to hear it more than we want a nice review.

There's no signup form. Message us, tell us your kid's sport and age, and we'll set you up with a personal code and walk you through the scan.

How to order

Same as always: scan your kid's feet with your phone (takes about a minute, works at home), pick a sport and colors, and the scan sets the size tier. Every cleat order also comes with a free 3D fit sock printed from the same scan, so you can check the fit before the cleats are made.

One kid-specific tip: growing feet should re-scan every 6 months or after a growth spurt. The scan is free and takes a minute, and it means a replacement pair is built to the feet as they are now, not as they were last season.
