Oliver sands down his own cleats to ease the knee pain. They help, but break after a handful of games.
The first custom-fit cleat.
His earliest real attempt at a cleat printed to the shape of a foot.
Prevolve is founded — then life happens.
He commits to building the cleat no one else would make. From 2017 to 2020 the project sits untouched.

Back at it late in the year: new gluing methods, and the barefoot design principles that still shape every pair.
Printing flat, then the algorithm.
First uppers 3D-printed flat in 2021. The pattern algorithm is finished in 2022.
The garage shop.
Production moves into his parents' garage, and trial pairs reach an NFL cornerback.

August: out of the garage, into a warehouse. December: cleat plate durability finally cracked.
