Why Custom Fit Matters in Football

Football is a game of explosive, asymmetric movement. Your dominant cut foot and your drive foot do different jobs, load differently, and wear differently — yet a standard cleat treats both as the same averaged template. Stud placement on an off-the-shelf plate is always a compromise between the two. A Prevolve plate is built to your 3D scan, positioning studs at the points where each foot actually generates force, not where an average last places them.

The payoff shows up where the game is decided: the first step off the line, the sharp route break, the plant-and-drive out of a cut. Aggressive traction delivers maximum grip when you need it most, but it also transmits force into your joints — which is why stud geometry and placement matter as much as grip itself.   • Playing surface: configurations for firm natural grass (FG) and artificial turf (AG) — specify your surface in the customization form.
  • Stud shape: bladed for aggressive traction and acceleration on natural grass, or conical for smoother rotational release — specify your preference in the customization form.

How Your Pair Gets Made

Every Prevolve starts with a 3D scan of your feet, captured from home with a phone. From that scan we build a digital model of your foot — length, width, arch profile, toe splay and bone structure — and design your cleat around it.

Before anything goes into production you receive a 3D Fit Sock: a printed test version of your fit that confirms the dimensions on your actual feet. Full instructions arrive after purchase. Once your fit is confirmed, we print your plate and build your pair to that verified geometry.

Because the cleat is built from a scan rather than a factory last, there is no break-in period. The first practice feels like mid-season — minus the accumulated wear.

Built for Natural Foot Function

Prevolve's fit philosophy starts where most footwear compromises: the toe box. Feet are widest at the toes, yet almost every athletic shoe tapers to a point — squeezing the big toe inward, shutting down toe splay, and disengaging the muscles your foot was built to use. Every Prevolve is printed with your full forefoot width, so your toes can spread on the plant and grip through the push-off.

That matters for performance as much as comfort. A splayed big toe is the anchor of the foot's arch system; give it room and the foot stiffens naturally under load, stabilizes the ankle, and transfers force more efficiently. In a game won in the first two steps, a foot that can spread and grip is a faster foot. Combined with optional toe spacers and metpads, the shoe becomes a platform for building foot strength over a season instead of eroding it.

Materials and Durability

The plate is printed in TPU — a material chosen for its blend of elasticity, abrasion resistance and long-term durability. It flexes where your foot flexes, holds stiffness where the design calls for it, and stands up to a full season of hard use. And because stiffness is tuned to your weight and foot strength level rather than fixed at the factory, lighter and stronger-footed athletes get a plate that moves with them, while bigger athletes get the support their build demands.

Custom Toe Spacers are 3D printed specific to your toe dimensions and curvature. Made of soft TPU foam for extreme durability and comfort, a full set weighs about six grams. Keep your toes wide and alive with minimal bulk or weight. Spacers come in three different sizes so you can find the perfect setup for your toe splay, sock thickness and footwear. Metpads

Modular Foam Metpads are easily interchangeable with our TPU foam insoles. They are designed to improve the posture of your foot, encouraging activation of the transverse arch, which helps relieve pressure on joints and increase toe engagement. Metpads come in five different levels to allow for progressive training of the arch — start low, build strength, and step up over time.

Almost perfect!

Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the heel gave me a blister when I wore ankle socks. So I’m going to have to wear thicker/longer socks. But besides that they feel amazing when I run and cut!

The cleats fit perfectly! I've never experienced something like this before, because my feet simply do not properly fit into cleats of any size or width. For the first time I am able to train and play without pain, which is something I didn't think was possible for me. More than that, I am able to move around the field much more comfortably; it takes substantially less effort than I'm used to, which I can only attribute to how perfect the cleats fit. The "barefoot" style isn't something I'm used to for cleats specifically, but it feels really natural. The price was more than I've payed for a pair of cleats, but for me, it was well worth it considering how much pain my feet have had to endure every year.

Offensive Tackle cleats for 14-extra wide feet

Truly amazing cleats, mobility is insane, the extra wide toe box fits my 14-4E foot perfectly to give me a full cleat plate to use for stability and traction. My feet feel amazing where as before they were forced into a smaller toe box and width. Highly recommend for any player. Oliver was so responsive to making a sturdy durable cleat that would work for an OL with a reinforced toe. Worth every penny.
