Why Custom Fit Matters in Golf
The golf swing generates significant ground reaction forces — vertical compression, lateral shear, and rotational torque that travel from the ground through your feet and into the kinetic chain of the swing. Biomechanical research confirms that the shoe-ground interface directly influences swing speed, power generation, and shot consistency. Standard golf shoes are built around average foot lasts. A Prevolve golf shoe is printed to your 3D foot scan — which means the sole contacts the ground according to your specific foot geometry rather than an averaged template. The result is more even pressure distribution across your stance foot during the backswing, more stable lead-foot engagement through impact, and better ground connection across different lies — uphill, downhill, and sidehill.

Toe Spacers
Custom Toe Spacers are 3D printed specific to your toe dimensions and curvature. Made of soft TPU foam for extreme durability and comfort. A full set weighs about six grams. Keep your toes wide and alive with minimal bulk or weight. Spacers come in three different sizes so you can find the perfect setup for your toe splay, sock thickness and footwear. Metpads
Modular Foam Metpads are easily interchangeable with our TPU foam insoles. They are designed to improve the posture of your foot, encouraging activation of the transverse arch which helps relieve pressure on joints and increase toe engagement. The fit on these is, as expected… perfect. Prevolve used a Volumental scan of my foot and back that up with print outs to double check the fit before the 3D printing commences.
The spacers and domes are also custom fit.
Specifically, just the right amount of stiffness (more than most barefoot shoes) and a grip pattern that is aggressive enough to stop slipping but not tear the greens up!
For those wondering… these ideas came from lots of testing actual golf or trail running shoes from True, Merrell, Vivobarefoot, Barebarics, Saguaro and Bahe. All have their merits but when it’s designed fit for purpose, the Prevolves would always be hard to beat.
